As the productive Hair Academy Manager, you will have responsibility & involvement in controlling all targets and standards are met within the centre whilst maintaining a true passion for developing people and learners. This role may suit a Lead Verifier or Head of Training / Department Manager working within a School, F.E.College or Work Based Learning environment. Job details are as follows:

The Position

• Accountability for all aspects of the Training Centre and work based learning contracts
• A hands on and can do approach to Management
• An ability to manager and interact with people from varying ages & social background.
• Ensuring all procedures and policies are adhered to at all times
• Overseeing and involvement within maintaining existing training contracts
• The Hairdressing Centre Manager will be responsible for recruitment and ongoing management of all centre staff.
• Strong administration, communication and organization skills are a must
• Assessing and monitoring of overall Training Centre performance
• Ensuring standards and motivation of Trainers / Assessors within the business
• Achieving targets and expectations within a work based learning environment

Person Specification

• The successful Centre Manager will require ideally a strong background within the work based / FE college learning sector, NVQ assessing and Hairdressing training and ideally should possess :
• A hands on and flexible approach to Management
• PTTLS, DTTLS or Teaching Qualification Cert Ed.
• A1 D32/33 Assessor qualified
• V1 / D34 Internal Verifier an advantage
• Strong life skills and an ability to communicate with people on all levels
• Ideally Key Skills Experience Min- Level 1 / ( AON and Comms ) is preferred
• Qualified Hairdresser with occupational experience
• A passion for hairdressing, training and development of young people
• A strong People Management ability
• An outgoing and confident communicator
• Ability to establish credibility and rapport
• The Manager will also be required to continue to teach one day a week as part of the role
